A research analyst is an individual who conducts research on certain products and services and decides the methods of making that product or service more consumer friendly. Market research analysts are those individuals who design ways of promoting products and bringing them to the consumer attention. Finance research analysts on the other hand deal with financial issues and troubleshoot problems etc. A detailed job description of a research analyst is given below.

Education and Training Required:

In order to become a research analyst, one needs to pursue graduation in research analysis or any other field such as Statistics or Math etc.  Any person who is aspiring to be   a research analyst must have subjects like business, marketing, mathematics, statistics etc in his/her coursework.

Many companies hire research analysts through campus placements and hence one can apply for this position by sitting for placements at graduate or post graduate level.  By sending a job application to a desired company too can one get the job of a research analyst. Often, sales executives may be promoted to the position with ample experience in the field of marketing or sales etc.
