In this growing age of social networking and network websites, the relevance of a social media manager can be clearly understood. A social media manager is the voice of a company on a social or digital media medium like Facebook, Twitter etc.  He/she is responsible for creating and generating more interest among the people about the company/products that he/she is representating. Basically, a social media manager must handle social media accounts and perform marketing related duties.

Education and Training Required:

In order to become a social media manager, one has to pursue bachelor’s in any subject but the preferred fields are marketing, PR, business administration or computer science etc.  An individual with a diploma in media management or communication etc can also be considered an apt choice for the job.
